Meet the Author

About the Author

Kat is a writer from The Hudson Valley. Although she grew up in the Hudson Valley, she is no stranger to Cape Cod. Since four months old, Kat has spent every Summer on the Cape. At the age of 10 she knew she wanted to write a book. Now at age 26, that dream is finally becoming a reality. People always say “Write what you know”, so Kat thought “What better place to write about then where I spent the most time growing up?”

Fun Fact → Kat has a "be still" tattoo on her wrist.

When Kat isn’t working at her full-time job, you can find her in her Writers Room, doing what she does best… writing! She enjoys being in nature, laughing uncontrollably with her friends and drinking a cocktail (or two) with her family on her parent’s back deck that overlooks the Hudson River.

Kat is an unapologetic lover of coffee, rosé and watching The Bachelor. She doesn’t have a dog, but will definitely ask to pet yours. One of her favorite things to do is read on the beach and she hopes you will love to do the same with her book!

My Creative Aha! Moment

The one important aha! moment I've had in my creative process of this project.
Writing what feels familiar! My mom has always said "write what you know", so when I decided the story would take place in Cape Cod, all the imagery flowed easily, allowing my creativity to flow with it!
